Put Experience First
We believe that experience-based learning is a powerful way to connect people and ideas. At the heart of every OSI trip are well thought-out interactive activities which cultivate reflection and experiential learning. Our goal is to equip youth with the skills and tools needed to succeed in an interdependent world.
Frame, Discuss, and Integrate
One Step Initiative frames learning experiences within the context of cultural exchange and language learning activities. For each activity, or segment of a trip, our leaders integrate an orientation, discussion, and a debriefing.

Our Youth Ambassadors
OSI’s Youth Global Ambassadors develop a new understanding of they can better serve their own communities. Upon return they will work to facilitate service learning projects and help five of their peers in expanding global awareness. In turn they will create a never-ending chain of support for everyone to get the help they need.
